I’m 14, and I have flabby love handles, except I’m 15 pounds underweight (according to my doctor). I don’t want to lose weight because I’m underweight, and I don’t want to make my chest smaller, but I want to make my love handles firmer. How do I do this?
I’m 5′1 and 85 pounds.

work out and eat more so it tones the muscles.

Just do some stregthening exercises for your abs and obliques (love handles).

Side crunches will tone your obliques, but if you are 15 pounds underweight, I find it hard to believe that you have large love handles. You are very young, give yourself time to grow into your body, I’m sure you are beautiful just the way you are, don’t stress too much. Most people with love handles need to lose weight.

Sit ups without running tones muscles, but doesn’t get rid of the fat!

You must run, trust me.

That’s mostly likely impossible inless you lean side ways back in forth everyday.Sideway crunches.

its not possible to get rid of love handles without losing weight. they are alot of the weight. if you lose them you lose weight. just do a few sittups and run. it wont hurt ya to lose a couple more pounds. good luck. have a nice day.

Sit ups, I have a love handle and am under weight too. Sit ups are good. I’m starting out with 15 every day and am going to increase the number as i go along.

Cut out corn syrup. Corn syrup appears to put on weight at the hips and neck

Corn syrup is in many things diet drinks,pickles. Uusally anything that say Organic will not have corn syrup

How much do you weigh?
If your underweight, then your right, you don’t want to loose it.
Anyway, a good way to do that is too work out and replace them with muscle.

do abdominal exercises, especially those that work the obliques. you also need to do cardio to burn the fat off the top of the muscles.

I think your nitpicking over your body too much. What you’re seeing is a natural part of everyone’s body and is supposed to be there. Don’t pay attention to these people on television that have it sucked out all the time.

To answer your question, it is fat and the lower end of love handles can’t be toned really. You’ll notice a bone right underneath.

Only way to burn fat is to increase muscle and to lose weight or both.

to weight training because you will replace your fat with muscle and you’ll actually gain weight because muscle weighs more than fat.

Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can’t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.
