What are some good lower ab muscle exercise?
I’ve been working out for about 6 months concentrating on ab muscle workout but nothing seems to be happening in the lower muscles. What are the best exercises to sort this?

Hi Daniel,
I always found the lower abs to be very hard to tone. I had some success with crunches and leg raises but only really made any decent gains using the info on http://www.drop-belly-fat.info
They have tons of info on exercises and eating plans. Worth a look.
Good luck fella.
Reverse crunches are excellent, but you have to use correct form or it won’t work right. I find that trying to drag my heels along the back of my legs as I bring my legs up really helps to perform the exercise right. Of course I can’t actually touch my heels to the back of my legs, but trying to do it makes the exercise work.
This video is ok, but like I said, don’t just lift the legs – go slow and try to drag your heels along your hamstrings, this will really force you to use the lower abs.
Dragon flags are the ultimate lower ab exercise. They were Bruce Lee’s favorite. Tough though!

Hanging leg raises were popular in the 90s for lower abs but they are hard to do right and most people end up working their hip flexors rather than their abs. Better to master the first two that I listed.
